We offer classes for children at all age levels!

Beginners and students of all skill levels can join in at any time throughout the year. Click to start the video below to watch Miss Georgia, founder and owner of The Children’s School of Music, explain the benefits of early childhood music education.

We LOVE teaching music to young children! And, we know you’ll love participating in class too. To optimize learning, we request parent or guardian participation in all Baby, Toddler, and Preschool classes.

As with all our classes, we welcome families to stop in for a trial class to observe and learn about our teaching method. For these early childhood classes, we recommend a minimum of 4 classes for the child to fully absorb the benefits of the learning process.

Memory

Background music may aid in developing memory. Most importantly, memory recall improves when the same music played during learning is played during recall.

Emotion and mood

Children of different ages were mostly consistent in identifying the “emotion” of the variation as excited, sad, happy, or calm.

The prodigy myth

Famous classical musicians are often deemed child geniuses. Mozart is the most common example.

Academic Skills

Music and math are highly intertwined. By understanding beat, rhythm, and scales, children are learning how to divide, create fractions, and recognize patterns.
