Do you have your own reliable transportation? Why we ask: One of the most important parts of being a teacher, besides being a great teacher is being present when you are supposed to teach. This means being on time and being prepared. In order to do that having your own reliable transportation is a must as we travel from one school location to the next. It is also important that no one else depends on you for rides to work or vise versa. Using public transportation, Uber or the like will not work because you must be able to leave one location as soon as you finish teaching to go to the next location. Having to wait for a ride or public transportation even if for one to two minutes could make you late to your next school.
Not at this time, but I will soon
Would you be willing to travel as many as 45 miles to and from your first and last school location on a daily basis? Why we ask: Traveling to different school locations is a big part of the job as we travel between 2-5 centers each day. Once in a particular location for the day, you would stay in the general vicinity and visit multiple locations or head back closer to your area after your first school location or vise versa. However, you would be required to travel up to 45 miles to your first location and 45 miles back from your last. We do have gas reimbursement of $50/week which is a part of the salary. So we want to make sure you are okay with driving before you start the job!
Are you looking for full or part time work?
What date are you available to start working full time? Why we ask: This position is available immediately and is for teachers looking for full time work. We understand that you will need at least 2 weeks to let your previous employer know that you have accepted a position with another company. If you need a few months that's okay, we just need to know what to expect so we can plan accordingly!
If you are looking for part time work, what are your hours of availability M-F (Please be specific so that we can see if we have locations at which to place you in the time frames you are available.)
What type of experience with Music do you have? Why we ask: We provide specialized musical programming to children from 6 weeks old to 6+ years old. And although you are not required to have musical experience, if you do, we want to know how much and what type: theater, chorus, singing when no one is around, playing an instrument in middle school, getting lessons in kindergarten...We use this information to place you into an appropriate training program. Our little musicians are young, but they are extremely bright so you will either need a strong foundation in the basics of music theory and beginning piano or you must be willing and ready to take on self study through our guided certification program! For that to happen we have to know where you are. This way we know where to start!
What is your skill level on piano? Chose one that best describes your ability.
What type of experience do you have with children between the ages of 6 weeks old and 5 years old. Why we ask: We work with children mostly between the ages of 3-5. We do have classes with babies and toddlers to so if you have experience with this age group that’s great! If not, don’t worry we have training programs; we just need to know where you are to help you get to where you need to be!
In what city do you reside? If you are not local currently, when do you plan to be in the area and what city do you plan to live in when you arrive?
If you could pick 3 adjectives to describe yourself what would you choose?
